In 1989, Nathaniel Crosby, the 1981 U.S. Amateur champion, and his partners purchased the Penna Golf Company in Jupiter, Florida. The company was noted for some of the finest precision woods ever produced. It was founded by Toney Penna in 1967 after he retired from MacGregor.
Ahrens Companies designed and constructed a new manufacturing plant for Toney Penna in West Palm Beach. The one-story fully air-conditioned golf club manufacturing plant included a dust recovery systems, club curing room and spacious lobby for product displays. Construction consisted of a pre-engineered metal building with a vinyl entrance canopy.
